What is noticeable regarding navigation in the Discord app is that the navbar completely disappear when engaging with a server, in order for the content feed and member list to fully embrace the screen and avoid frustrating swiping moves
This is even more valuable as the app is already very dense with a 5-section navigation bar and a very rich setting menu
